Get approved with First Israel’s streamlined mortgage process
The following is a brief outline of required documentation. Please feel free to contact us to discuss what documentation is needed for your specific scenario.
1. Proof of identification:
Israeli citizens: Copy of borrower and co-borrower’s Teudat Zehut.
Non-citizens: Copy of borrower and co-borrower’s passport and an additional photo ID
2. Three recent bank account statements
3. Three months of paystubs
4. If self-employed in Israel:
a) Previous year’s Shumat Mas (שומת מס)
b) Accountant’s statement approximating current year’s income (אישור רו”ח)
or
If salary is from a foreign country:
a) Tax returns (from the U.S., last 2 years 1040s)
b) Credit report
5. Copy of contract (for a purchase)
6. Nesach Tabo (נסח טאבו) – you can find this at www.gov.il
To refinance a property please include the following:
7. Payoff letter (which includes amount owed, and any pre-pay penalties that may apply if mortgage is refinanced). This is called דו”ח סילוק משכנתא which can be requested from your bank
8. Statement from current mortgage bank showing your transaction history over the past 2 years (דו”ח ניהול משכנתא), which can be requested from your bank
